Gary Gallagher has won three laurels for The Union War: the Tom Watson Brown Prize of the Society of Civil War Historians; the New York Military Affairs Symposium Civil War Prize; and the Dan and Marilyn Laney Prize of the Austin Civil War Roundtable.
