Have you ever been asked, “So what are you going to do with that History degree?” or wondered what you can with your History degree? The History Internship Program is a partnership between the History Department and the Career Center designed to help you answer these questions.
The knowledge and skills you learn as a History major or minor are highly desirable in a wide range of professions, but that diversity can make it hard to envision your path. The History Internship Program offers the opportunity to explore careers where historians flourish, both within the field of history and in the many other fields where you can apply your abilities to research and analyze, interpret evidence, write and communicate, and consider the diversity of human experience and perspective.
Participants in the program pursue a history-focused or history-related internship for 10 hours a week through the Career Center’s Internship Placement Program and enroll in HIST 3910, History Internship for major or minor credit during the spring semester.
