Submit to the Academical Heritage Review
U.Va's own undergraduate history journal
The Academical Heritage Review, the university's own undergraduate history journal is now accepting submissions for the Spring 2012 edition. The editors would like to invite you to submit any research-based paper or article you have written in your time here as an undergraduate. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your work and promote undergraduate research at the University. When printed, The Academical Heritage Review will be widely distributed around grounds.
In addition to personal and class assigned research the AHR is also accepting Book Reviews. The Academical Heritage Review is now accepting book reviews of recent historical scholarship. Book reviews should be no longer than 5 pages in length and review a work of the last calendar year.
Now in its third year of existence, the Academical Heritage Review is published by the University Historical Society. UHS is a Contracted Independent Organization (CIO) on grounds devoted to promoting the study of history at U.Va, as well as showcasing the rich history of the University. The society meets on Mondays at 8:00 in Jefferson Hall, Hotel C West Range. The editor of the AHR would also like to invite you to come sit in on one of the Society's meetings.
The submission deadline for the Academical Heritage Review is Friday, March 23rd. Please visit the University Historical Society’s website, www.UHSVirginia.wordpress.com for more information and to submit your work. Please do not hesitate to contact the editor at ahr [at] virginia [dot] edu or 804-698-9318 if you have any questions.
